  • Learning strength!

Well, a lot has changed in the past months.  School is over until August...I survived!!  It wasn't really that bad.  I have come to learn many things about myself and about others around me this year.  It has really been enlightening.  I learned that you must pick your battles, if you don't, you'll lose in the end.  I have learned what bothers me more than most things.  I also learned that the people you hope are wrong (the people that hurt you and don't want to believe anything they say because of what they have done to you) are sometimes right and it's hard to admit it. The people that you really care about sometimes don't really care about you.  They just want you to care about them, so they act as if they care about you.  Sooner or later though it comes out and you see who sticks with you through the good and bad.  That is what makes your friends, friends.  But the ones that become your best friends do their best to put you infront of them and you do your best to do the same for them.  The main thing I learned is that no matter how difficult things become, and you think you can't take anymore, God shows you how strong you really can be with His help.  We all know we couldn't lift a feather, take a cut that wouldn't even require a bandaid, or live through the tormiol of the world without him.  He is my Rock and my Strength.

  • Just had internet hooked up at home!  We are very excited to finally have internet!  I have had professional development in Henderson all week.  I had it three days and worked in my classroom for 2 days.  I am going back today.  Yes, I am working on a Saturday.  Monday I found out they changed what I was teaching.  I was originally going to teach 7th grade math.  Now I am teaching something called, discovery math.  This is a class where I teach students how to do certain things in math, but I use math activities everyday.  Students will learn most everything in Geometry by drawing lesson plans to a house and building a model home.  This model home would also deal with proportions.  I am very excited about it.

I ordered paint to paint my classroom when they showed me how small my room was.  Now they have switched me to discovery math which has a much larger room.  It is as big as our 3 bedroom house!  Jeanette, Arianne, Adam and I have primed it in 2 days.  Today, Adam and I are going back to paint.  I hope to have at least half of the room painted today.  We'll see though.  School starts in less than two weeks.  My classroom has to be ready by July 31st.  I don't even have posters for my wall yet.  I don't even know what I am teaching because I have to create my own curriculum.  Teaching is always a learning experience though!

  • I write you today for the first time as Mrs. Adam Tow!  I haven't written in a while because of getting things ready for the wedding, helping the family with difficulties, honeymoon and all that fun stuff!  We were married June 10 and came home from the honeymoon on the June 23.  We are now in Louisville with Adam's sister who is having surgery on her spinal cord.  VERY risky.  Don't have much time to write because I'm on someone elses computer.  I'll try to write back and update again soon.

  • Graduation was Saturday!  I am finished!  It's hard to believe, but in August, I will be the teacher instead of the student!  I am so excited.  Less than 4 weeks from the wedding.  We are still working on the honeymoon and still sending out invitations to the wedding.  We have one shower remaining.

Adam and I just found a place to live.   We will be living in a parsonage in Robards, KY which is about 15 minutes from where we will both be working.  It's very nice.  God just landed it in our laps.  No one has lived in it for 2 years and they want to rent it out.  My pastor recommended us.  The board voted yesterday and decided to rent out the house to us!  We are very excited.  With only 2 weeks left on my rent, this was a wonderful surprise from God!

I am going to my parents house tonight after packing up everything in my apartment.  We'll move everything next week!!!  I am so thankful for the way God has blessed my life!
